Younity Group First Nations Commitment Pledge

Our business is centred around three central beliefs that drive our work:

1. Any Younity Group Collaboration Partner will provide a written statement, reviewed and approved by Younity Group that states that the Collaboration Partner will not be a part of Black Cladding, in anyway shape or form.

a. Supply Nations Definition of Black Cladding: “Supply Nation considers ‘black cladding’ the practice of a non-Indigenous business entity or individual taking unfair advantage of an Indigenous business entity or individual for the purpose of gaining access to otherwise inaccessible Indigenous procurement policies or contracts. Unfair advantage involves practices and arrangements that result in the disadvantage or detriment to an Indigenous business, or that do not represent a genuine demonstrated level of equitable partnership and benefit.”

2. Younity Group always seeks to identify opportunities for First Nations peoples and or entities to help provide solutions and continuous improvement for clients.

3. A Cultural Awareness and Cultural Safety review and needs analysis will be undertaken by Younity Group of a Collaboration Partner of Younity Group.
4. A Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and needs analysis will be undertaken by Younity Group of a Collaboration Partner of Younity Group.
5. A Training and Education needs analysis will be undertaken by Younity Group, if applicable, of a Collaboration Partner of Younity Group.
6. Any Younity Group Collaboration Partner will be open to the exploration with Younity Group of Mentoring Programs.
